Christmas Banquet at Camp Rocky Creek

The Louisiana District Christmas Banquet took place on Friday, December 5, 2014.  Attended by more than 150 ministry leaders and families from across the district.  The food was excellent, the fellowship was great, the camaraderie was wonderful and the Spirit was warm.  Thank you for participating and being a part of this very special time.  We hope you were able to make a memory!

DEPUTATION With DANA HOWARD COMPLETED

Special thanks to Nancy Lambert for scheduling yet another exciting Deputation Tour for Louisiana District. 
Report from Rev. John Rabo ~ Shreveport First had a great Faith Promise weekend with missionary Dana Howard from Ecuador (Dana and I went to Nazarene Bible College together many years ago). His presentations were going to focus on "changed lives," so we adopted as our theme: Faith Promise works around the clock to change lives. Since our goal was $12,000, we used a clock to keep track of our giving. At the close of our Sunday morning service, $12,125 had been pledged. Before I left the building, it was revised to $13,005! Needless to say, we have been rejoicing in the goodness of God and the faithfulness of God's people.

December - Compassionate Ministries Emphasis

Need a Little Help NMI President?? Challenge everyone in your congregation to do one compassionate deed each week of December. This could be a phone call to a sick person, a plate of cookies to a needy shut-in, or a plastic bag of food to a homeless person on the street.  One week make plans to contribute an offering to the Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Fund. In January, have testimonies about the blessings received from participating in this month-long compassion emphasis.  Make it real! Stay Excited!
